What We Offer

SIAD Studio offer four key services and can tailor those services to meet our client’s needs.  Find out more about what we can offer below.

Measured Survey
Capturing Reality

Precise and Accurate Data Capture

SIAD Studio believe that a high-quality Measured Survey, resulting in accurate, precise and comprehensive measurements, is crucial to the success of a project. Our experienced team specialise in laser scanning to create 3D Measured Surveys and capture 3D Point Clouds data.

3D Point Cloud is a set of data points that represent real-world shapes and space accurately.  From this data SIAD Studio can create 3D Building Models and produce 2D Drawings such as plans, elevations, topographical etc.

On site, the laser scanner itself does not detect colour but during the survey process, the team also capture 360 photographs which can be aligned to the point cloud data in order to add colour.

Scanning output can be used with a multitude of 2D & 3D software such as AutoCAD, Revit and 3DS MAX.

Following the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and The Survey Association (TSA) guidance our 3D Point Clouds are accurate to within +/- 5mm, and our 3D Building Models accurate to within +/-10mm.

Each laser scan takes between 30 seconds and 5 minutes, depending on the level of detail required, and depending on project size the on-site Measured Survey can take anywhere from half a day to a few weeks.

3D Modelling
Refined by Design

Replicating the Real in Digital Form

3D Building Models are the foundation of the digital transformation process, and they are used to create Digital Twins of real world assets.

3D Building Models bridge the gap between 3D Measured Survey and 2D & 3D Design.

Existing buildings are modelled directly from Point Cloud data captured during the Measured Survey process, while proposed building model use Point Cloud data to develop and support the design.

Digital Twin is defined as a virtual representation which accurately reflect a physical object.

2D & 3D Design
Creating Your Vision

2D & 3D Designs from RIBA Stage 0 to Stage 7

SIAD Studio have an in house design team ready to take your vision to the next level.

Working through the RIBA stages, we can provide our clients with 2D & 3D Drawings as well as 3D Visuals & 3D Building Models. This gives our clients a full vision on what could be possible for their build.

SIAD Studio also collaborate with the SIAD Construction team to provide clients with seamless and consistent design for the duration of any construction project.

RIBA is the definitive model for the design and construction process of buildings. RIBA organises the process of briefing, designing, constructing and operating building projects into eight stages.

3D Visualisation
Exploring the World

Fully Immersive and Interactive 3D Content.

Not only can SIAD Studio create 2D & 3D Designs for any project, we can advance this further by creating fully immersive and interactive 3D content. This is achieved through producing interactive and realistic Virtual Reality walkthroughs and imagery.

These can be produced from both existing survey or new design proposals and they expand possibilities of a project by allowing our clients to experience a 'real-world' feel for the design in its intended environment, prior to the build.

3D Visualisation provides an opportunity to reduce project costs and refine the design by making decisions earlier in the project life, and eliminate errors and identify problems early.

Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer simulated environment which allows the user to visualise a virtual world and to interact with that virtual space and its components.
